Up and running in three steps

  1. Create a workspace

    Sign up and start a library right away. Files go to Okonomi Storage, or to your own S3 bucket at Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS or Cloudflare R2.

  2. Bring your assets

    Upload models with their thumbnails and textures, or let an agent do it: it fills in descriptions, labels and where each file came from.

  3. Connect your agents

    Add OkonomiDAM as a connector in Claude or any other MCP client. Agents sign in with OAuth and get exactly the rights of the person who connected them.

Every file, every version

An asset holds all its files: FBX, Blend, glTF, USD, textures. Upload a file under the same name and it becomes the next version, while the old one stays downloadable. Editing notes record who changed what, and why.

Your bucket or ours

Keep files in your own S3-compatible bucket at no extra cost, or use Okonomi Storage. Uploads go straight from the browser to the bucket, so large files never wait on a server in between.

Built for agents from the first line

Agents use the same API as the web app. Everything a person can do in OkonomiDAM, an agent can do through MCP, within that person's role.

  • 65 tools, generated from the public OpenAPI description, so agents always see the current API.
  • Built-in instructions: descriptions read like catalogue entries, the history goes into editing notes, new versions instead of overwritten files.
  • Sign-in with OAuth. Agents never handle passwords or API keys, and you disconnect them with one click.
  • No file bytes through the agent: uploads and downloads run over short-lived links straight to storage.

Questions

Which agents work with OkonomiDAM?
Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as Claude, and anything that can call a REST API. The API reference is public.
Does an agent need its own account?
No. An agent signs in as the person who connects it and may do what that person may do. You see every connected app in your account and can disconnect it at any time.
Which file formats can I store?
Any. OkonomiDAM stores files as they are and recognises FBX, OBJ, Blend, glTF and GLB, USD and USDZ, IFC, 3ds Max, STL, Alembic, Collada, Substance and texture formats like EXR, HDR and TIFF.
What happens when Okonomi Storage is full?
New uploads to Okonomi Storage pause until you free space or add a storage block. Nothing is deleted, and libraries on your own bucket keep working.
Can I use my own storage?
Yes. Connect any S3-compatible bucket in the storage settings. Files stay in your account; OkonomiDAM only keeps the catalogue.
